Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on Monday morning in Mumbai at the age of 89 due to age-related health issues. The iconic actor had been under medical care at Breach Candy Hospital since October after experiencing breathing difficulties. He was later discharged on November 12 and continued treatment at home until his passing on November 24.

The funeral took place at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Many prominent Bollywood figures, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, attended the ceremony to pay their final respects.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mourned the actor’s passing, stating that Dharmendra’s death signified the “end of an era” in Indian cinema. In a heartfelt tribute, the Prime Minister praised Dharmendra’s versatility as an actor and his ability to connect with audiences through a wide range of roles. He also highlighted the actor’s humble and warm personality, expressing his condolences to the family, friends, and fans of the beloved star.

Known for iconic films like Sholay and Satyakam, Dharmendra was admired for breaking barriers in Indian cinema and for portraying powerful, emotionally resonant characters throughout his remarkable career.
