US Visa Bulletin for December 2025 Brings Hope for Indian Green Card Applicants
The US State Department’s Visa Bulletin for December 2025 brings a rare wave of positive news for Indian professionals and investors seeking employment-based green cards. Several key employment categories have moved forward, reducing wait times for many applicants.
Here are the new cutoff dates for India:
This forward movement allows more Indian applicants with earlier priority dates to proceed with their green card process. It offers meaningful progress, especially within the EB-5 investor category, which saw the biggest jump.
On the other hand, family-based immigration remains stagnant. Categories F1, F2A, F2B, F3, and F4 saw no movement in Final Action Dates, with only a minor improvement allowing F2A applicants to file one month sooner.
USCIS will continue to use “Dates for Filing” for both employment and family categories. This enables eligible applicants to submit their adjustment-of-status applications early, secure a priority date, and receive work and travel permits, even if green card numbers aren’t available yet.
While family immigration faces continued delays, Indian employment-based applicants find real promise in this month’s bulletin.
