The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has issued a public alert warning Indian travellers about a rise in fraudulent websites posing as official Indian e-visa portals. These unauthorized sites are tricking users, leading to financial scams and illegal collection of personal data.
Embassy officials highlighted that several fake websites such as indianimmigration.org, idiasevisa.org, evisaentry.com, india-immi.org, ivisa.com, and india-evisa.it.com have been detected misleading applicants. These platforms often imitate the government website and charge users while compromising their sensitive information.
The Embassy strongly emphasized that e-visa applications should only be made through the official Government of India website: www.indianvisaonline.gov.in. Travellers are advised not to use any other platforms to ensure the safety and legitimacy of their visa applications.
Authorities urged the public to stay alert and confirm the authenticity of any online visa service before providing any personal or financial details.
