Skilled Tech Workers Returning to India Amidst H-1B Visa Uncertainty

India has confirmed the successful test of its nuclear-capable Agni-Prime missile, a part of its ongoing efforts to upgrade its strategic defense capabilities. The test took place on a range off the coast of Odisha and marks a significant milestone in the country’s missile development program. The Agni-Prime, also called Agni-P, is a next-generation ballistic missile that can carry nuclear warheads and reach medium-range distances.

This test was conducted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command. It was observed by top military officials and scientists. The missile followed its expected trajectory and reached its designated target accurately, confirming its operational capability.

The Agni-P missile is lighter and more advanced than previous versions, using modern composite materials and improved guidance systems. It can be launched from both rail- and road-mobile launchers, increasing its strategic flexibility. Experts believe that the development of Agni-P will strengthen India’s deterrence posture in the region.

Officials noted that this successful trial showcases India’s technical advancements in defense and its commitment to maintaining credible minimum deterrence. The Agni series is a critical component of India’s strategic arsenal, and this updated version adds more capability and accuracy to the system.

The Indian government emphasized that the missile development aligns with its policy of no first use of nuclear weapons, aiming only at defense and deterrence. The test reinforces India’s commitment to peace and stability while ensuring its national security is safeguarded.
