Good news for football fans planning to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the United States – a fast-track visa interview service is now available. The U.S. has introduced the FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System, also known as FIFA Pass, which allows fans with official match tickets to book visa interview slots faster.
The FIFA Pass is a streamlined appointment system launched by FIFA and the World Cup 2026 host nations to manage the anticipated high volume of international visitors. If you hold a valid match ticket purchased through FIFA’s official platform for a U.S.-based game, you are eligible to use this service. Although it doesn’t change the visa process itself, it moves you up in the appointment queue.
“We’re simply advancing fans in the queue,” said U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. A special online portal will be set up to handle these priority requests, with the program expected to begin in early 2026.
To get started, fans must:
- Create a ticketing account on FIFA.com and register with an email address.
- Participate in ticket-sale phases, including random draws and first-come options.
- Select from various ticket types—individual, team-specific, venue packages, or hospitality.
- Make payments only through FIFA’s official portal.
- Receive digital ticket confirmation in their FIFA account, activated closer to match day.
Indian fans can apply for a U.S. visa even without a ticket, but FIFA Pass access is only granted to those with official tickets. Avoid unofficial ticket agents, as FIFA does not support pre-reservations or guaranteed tickets.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said around 6-7 million tickets will be sold, and 5 to 10 million international fans are expected to travel to the U.S. for the tournament. “FIFA Pass ensures true fans get the best conditions, starting with easier visa access,” he added.
