Zoho Founder Encourages H-1B Visa Holders to Return to India

Retail giant IKEA has announced new expansion plans across India, aiming to strengthen its presence in key cities. The Swedish furniture company plans to open more stores and enhance its digital infrastructure to cater to the growing demand from Indian consumers. IKEA has already seen success in markets like Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai, and intends to replicate that model in other metropolitan areas, including Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai.

The company also plans to invest in its online retail services, acknowledging the rising trend of digital shopping in India. By focusing on both physical and online platforms, IKEA hopes to provide a seamless shopping experience. It is also working to localize its product offerings by incorporating Indian preferences in design and affordability.

IKEA’s strategy includes creating more localized jobs and collaborating with local suppliers to ensure sustainability and cost-effectiveness. This move aligns with India’s “Make in India” initiative and supports IKEA’s long-term vision of becoming a significant contributor to India’s retail ecosystem.

With a combination of offline and online expansions, along with community and economic engagement, IKEA aims to become a household name in Indian homes. The company remains optimistic about India’s growing middle class and increasing urbanization, which are seen as key growth drivers in the coming years.
